- A typical day may involve doing the opposite of what
was the "plan"
- PSCs wear many "hats," (social, friend, job
coach, whatever it takes)
- Spend half of their time out in the field
- Relate in Adult to Adult Relationships with members
- Find their own boundaries (some PSCs give members
their home phone numbers, others choose not to)
- Do things with members not for them
- Rotate the On-Call beeper hours and have to be on
Call about once every 6 weeks
- Do two evening or weekend social activities planned with members each
month
