Mark Ragins, M.D. is one of the founding staff
of the Village ISA. He has had a strong impact on the programs, management,
philosophy and vision of the Village throughout, in addition to articulating
and living a clear role as a psychosocial psychiatrist. He has worked in a
number of settings catalyzing system change. He is a frequent lecturer and
consultant nationally and internationally as well as a trainer for psychiatric
residents. He was the co-recipient of the APA’s 1995 van Ameringen Award for
his outstanding contribution to the field of psychiatric rehabilitation. In
addition to his work at the Village, Dr. Ragins works part-time at MHA’s
Homeless Assistance Program which shares the building with the Village.
