Since the early Village days, staff and members have met on Wednesday
mornings in the Deli 456 to meet new folks, discuss upcoming social and
political events, recognize individual and group achievements, learn about
trainings, and share views, news, new shoes, and new hairdos.
In recent times, attendance and interest in the meetings have gone down
prompting attendees to determine ways to improve the meetings. Along with
changing the seating arrangements and using a microphone, Village staff and
members decided to divide the meetings between all of the different departments
(i.e. Community Integration, Employment, Accounting, Team1, Team 2, etc) and
have each department host a meeting. The directions for hosting were vague
leaving room for imagination, and boy did the departments/ teams show how much
imagination they have.
